Possible Itineraries:

Option I: Hanoi – Cuc Phuong – Van Long – Hanoi

Day 1 (Saturday): Hanoi > Cuc Phuong

Leave Hanoi  in early morning for Cuc Phuong national park (2,5 hours), birding whole day inside the park for Bar-bellied and Blue-rumped Pitta, Ratchet-tailed Treepie, Limestone Wren Babbler, Fork-tailed and Crimson Sunbird, Rufous-throated and Black-browed Fulvetta.

Meals: B/L/D

Overnight: Guesthouse of the park (Air-condition, hot shower and free WIFI)

Day 2 (Sunday): Cuc Phuong > Van Long > Hanoi

An morning birding at Cuc Phuong then visit Edangered Primate Rescue Center, Turtle Conservation Center before leaving for Van Long in the afternoon. Take a boat trip for Delacour langur and some waterbirds at Van Long wetland nature reserved. Going back to Hanoi on late afternoon.

Option II: Hanoi – Tam Dao – Hanoi

Day 1 (Saturday): Hanoi - Tam Dao

Pick you up at hotel in early morning, transfer 1,5 hour to Tam Dao, Birding whole day inside the park for Blue-naped Pitta, Grey Laughingthrush, Short-tailed Parrotbill, Chestnut Bulbul, Chestnut-collared and Black-chinned Yuhina, Schaeffer,s Fulvetta, Spot-necked Babbler, Streak Wren Babbler, Streak-breasted Scimitar Babbler

Meals: B/L/D

Overnight: Good hotel at Tam Dao 

Day 2 (Sunday): Tam Dao - Hanoi

Another full day birding to Water tank trail and TV tower trail for more birds. Going back to Hanoi on late afternoon.

Option III: Hanoi – Xuan Thuy - Hanoi

Day 1 (Saturday): Hanoi - Xuan Thuy

Pick you up at hotel in early morning, transfer 3 hours to Xuan Thuy. Birding along the dyke till lunch time. Check in then lunch. Birding inside the park for Black-faced Spoonbill and shorebirds.

Meals: B/L/D

Overnight: Guesthouse of the park (Air-con, hot shower), free WIFI at restaurant.

Day 2 (Sunday): Xuan Thuy - Hanoi

Another day birding for ducks, shorebird and bird in wood behind the guesthouse of the park. Going back to Hanoi on late afternoon.
